Laws of logic (e.g., the law of non-contradiction: something cannot be both A and not-A simultaneously) are universal, necessary, and invariant. But in atheistic materialism, these laws' existence cannot be explained. If the universe is merely an accidental arrangement of matter and energy, why do immaterial, universal, necessary logical laws exist? Matter changes, but logical laws don't; matter is particular, but logical laws are abstract; matter is contingent, but logical laws are necessary. When atheists use logic to argue against God's existence, they presuppose something their worldview cannot explain. This is presuppositional apologetics' core insight: the very tool you use against God (logic) requires God to explain its existence. As Bahnsen said: 'The atheist is not standing on his own ground to oppose God — he is standing on God's ground to oppose God.' The Christian worldview naturally explains logical laws: they reflect God's invariant rational nature. God is all-knowing, rational, and unchanging; logical laws express God's way of thinking. Because God created humans in His image, humans have innate logical reasoning ability — but this ability's foundation is in God, not autonomous human reason. This argument doesn't claim atheists cannot use logic (they obviously can) but that their worldview cannot provide a consistent explanation for logic's existence. Just as one can breathe without knowing oxygen exists, atheists can use logic without acknowledging God — but logic's existence conditions still require explanation.
